Hello everyone,

We are currently in the process of choosing our front door and considering whether it should have frosted glass or not.
The carpenter somewhat advises against it, saying that more light comes in without frosted glass and that there isn’t much going on in the hallway anyway… plus, the neighbors wouldn’t really be looking inside.
At the moment, our semi-detached house also has an entrance door with a glass panel and NO frosted glass. Somehow, it has never bothered me… but still, I would find it annoying if people could see into our hallway…

Ah! What are your opinions on this? My husband and I don’t agree at all…

We have wide frosted strips with narrow clear strips in between. In my opinion, it looks very good, and you can only see through it when standing directly in front of it.
Friends of ours have clear glass and are now having the panes dipped in frosting.

In your situation, I would choose clear glass and possibly apply a frosted film if it really bothers you – this way, you can also apply the film only partially.

Currently, we have Mastercarre. However, we are getting a new front door with frosted glass and a clear glass border.

What you really don’t do anymore: frosted bathroom windows!

We have dirt on two bathroom windows – luckily only on the fixed part in front of the toilet and bathtub.

Using a film is a suggestion to approach with caution – both the window manufacturer and the carpenter advised us against film on triple glazing because the glass can crack under unfavorable sunlight conditions.

Modern people will definitely choose pleated blinds.

We will have both – and also roller shutters, so you can move around completely freely.
