1 car? And how about on the property? Both look fine so far. More important is the position on the property (including the possibilities). It’s not quite clear to me what the left room by the shed is supposed to be. A seating area? For what purpose?
If the driveway is wide enough for two vehicles (and you have two vehicles), then a carport for two vehicles (~6 meters (20 feet)) would probably make more sense. The arrangement for bicycles and trash bins looks good, but it requires many supports (every corner needs a support since this can’t possibly be suspended in mid-air). Do you really want an open concept for the bicycles? Winter? Theft protection? Wouldn’t it make more sense to store them in a lockable shed?
Regarding the shed: the storage shelves in the right shed are either designed for a single row of jars or are not to scale. A width of 1.8 meters (6 feet) isn’t much if proper cabinets/shelves are installed on both sides. Count on at least 40 cm (16 inches) depth per side and 60 cm (24 inches) for the cabinet as a “kitchen.” That leaves only 60 cm (24 inches) in the middle, which is too narrow. One idea would be to have 60 cm (24 inches) on one side and then an L-shape along the back wall with only narrow items hanging on the wall (e.g., rake, broom, etc.).

Thanks for the feedback.
We have only one car, and the driveway is about 5 meters (16 feet) wide, which is barely wide enough for two. You can probably pass each other carefully, but parking side by side isn’t possible. In front of the carport, there’s about 6.5 meters by 5 meters (21 feet by 16 feet) of space where a second car could be parked in an emergency (allowing the other car to drive past).
From my experience with bicycles, no one really stores them in the shed; they usually just get left wherever.
The shelves are 36 centimeters (14 inches) deep and scaled (we still have them from Ikea) — so a compromise would be a bit over one meter (about 3 feet) wide. This is only for storing garden tools and maybe some tools or similar items.
The small room is a playhouse for the kids.
As for the location: the carport is at the front of the driveway (5 meters by about 30 meters / 16 feet by about 98 feet) — 12.5 meters by 5 meters (41 feet by 16 feet) were paved from the street, and the garden house is at the back of the garden.

That looks well thought out. You might want to double-check which side is the prevailing weather side, so that with the relatively small carport, the covered area doesn’t become useless because snow and rain end up covering the entire space.
PS: How do you manage with 2 children and at least one full-time worker plus one part-time or similar worker with only one car?! Or are you financing the house entirely on your own? I always wonder how that works. As an engineer, I don’t come close to a $3,000 net income. And even if I did, it would never be enough.
I’m just asking because you’re planning for only one car. Strangely, many people actually have two cars and then park one on the street (neighbors’ space) or one behind the other, which causes constant inconvenience.
How are you planning to build the carport/shed? Kit, hardware store, timber construction company, or self-build? On Thursday, our timber construction company is going to install our carport. It will be 6 x 9 meters (3.5 x 6 meters shed with two utility rooms with plastic doors) plus a 3 x 3.5 meters covered terrace, all in one piece.

Send a private message to @Koempy.
He is also from Lower Saxony and has good contacts with a carport builder. He recently sent me his offer via private message. In my region, you would probably have to pay about 3,000 to 5,000 EUR (3,000 to 5,000 EUR) more for similar offers I have received so far. He can probably add you to our conversation. Currently, @Koempy is reporting on the construction progress of his carport.
