We currently have the following question. How should we construct the nosing of an existing staircase? I have sketched the situation and attached it. Ideally, we would like to install the floor covering of the upper floor slab directly on the nosing, without a gap, of course. Now the question arises whether it could cause problems if the upper floor slab is "floating" on insulation, while the nosing is installed directly on the staircase without any insulation.
What do you think? What is the best way to solve this?

Hello, we have covered the step with the floor covering. However, it is not possible to do this without joints; both the tiles and the linoleum have a joint directly above the joint in the reinforced concrete. There is no other way. The tiles continue in format but have an additional joint. In the linoleum, we have a joint corresponding to the one in the door frames.
