Hello everyone,

We currently have the following issue:

We would like to install a wooden privacy fence on our terrace (on the left and right sides). On the left side, it’s no problem to set up a 180cm (70.9 inches) tall fence. On the right side, however, the window sill starts already at 68cm (26.8 inches) and extends about 10cm (3.9 inches) outward.

Do you have any ideas on how to solve the problem with the window?

I’ve already considered cutting up a pallet and stacking the pieces to reach the height of the terrace floor. But that might look shabby.

I would really appreciate your tips and suggestions.

Good luck

Place it next to the window. Everything else is just nonsense.

Yes, ideally next to the window.
The problem is, how do I fix the fence at the bottom?
Any ideas?

In the ground, since that is where it will be installed!

Exactly how and with what at the ground is my question. Next to the terrace, the ground drops down further by the window. How and with what should I secure the fence?
On the opposite side, the fence will be attached to the side of the terrace wall.
How and with what should it be fastened on the window side? Next to the terrace, the ground drops about 50cm (20 inches) down to the soil.

You build a small concrete foundation. Then you screw the fence onto it.
However, I would rather plant a row of shrubs there. They just need to be tall enough.
