Hello,

I have a question about power outlets and the best position to install them.

They are usually installed at a height of 30cm (12 inches) above the finished floor, but what distance should be kept from the wall or from a corner? Should it be 15cm (6 inches) centered, like with door frames, or should it be more?

Thank you very much

As you wish, no specification.

I can place them wherever I want? I thought there was usually a guideline or a recommended standard.

I agree, it’s purely a matter of coordination. However, the electrician should be able to install the box comfortably 😉

There are so-called installation zones according to DIN standards. Just look them up online. They should be observed, but in my opinion, it is not absolutely necessary. However, as an electrician, I would definitely have a lawyer draft and countersign any exceptions if the client requests deviations ;-)

Installation zones are all well and good, but first and foremost the box should be placed exactly where the homeowner wants or needs it.
