I actually have a very simple question: What kind of costs should one roughly expect for removing 2 old garage doors and installing 2 new electric garage doors at the same time? The old up-and-over doors are to be replaced with 2 sectional doors.

That really depends a lot on the dimensions! For example, Novoferm currently has promotional doors available in widths of 2375mm (94 inches) and 2500mm (98.5 inches), which you can get with a motor for €900 (Iso 20) or €1000 (Iso 45). At the building materials supplier where we recently placed an order, there was even a special offer for an Iso 45 door, and my brother-in-law paid only €900 for it. Similar prices can also be found from Hörmann and others. For installation, we pay €450 per door, including removal and fitting a new bottom track (including chipping out and screed work). Just to give you a rough idea, but you need to be careful— we also received a quote for nearly double that price for the same doors and services.

Buchweizen14 May 2019 12:37I just wanted to get an overview to see what others have paid and to judge whether the quotes I have are reasonable or overpriced.
I currently have two offers: one for €4,500 and one for €4,800 for two doors with motors, including removal and disposal of the old doors and installation of the new ones.
The doors are supposed to be Hörmann doors, each 2.50m (8 feet) wide.

Then you might want to check Novoferm. As mentioned, they currently have promotional doors, and for a 2.50m (8.2 ft) door with 45mm (1.8 inch) insulation, the price is €998 for the door and the motor. You will still need to add installation and removal costs, as well as any additional options (color, control button, Wi-Fi, or similar).

The offer I received for the Novoferm promotional doors, including installation and removal (WITHOUT extras like Wi-Fi), was just under €6,000.
So, of course, we went with Hörmann, and with a discount, we’re now paying €4,200 for two promotional doors.
