ᐅ Looking for manufacturers of sliding gates (driveway gate, courtyard gate)

I hope this is the right forum.

We are currently considering installing an electric sliding gate for our property. Unfortunately, I don’t have a clear overview of the manufacturers available, and I’m not even sure what the proper term for it is.

We are looking for a gate that would be installed at the end of the property and slides sideways when you approach it by car. So it would also serve as the entrance to the property.

When I google the keywords from the title, I find a few brands that I’m not familiar with. Are there any “high-quality, well-known” manufacturers here, similar to how Hörmann is known for garage doors, for example? Hörmann does have something like this, but not really for private use unless you’re into industrial design.

I would appreciate it if anyone could name one or more manufacturers.

Ask a local metal construction company. It’s not rocket science. There are plenty of good drive manufacturers, and you just have your gate built the way it’s supposed to be.

We had one from Tousek, which served us faithfully for many years and appeared to be well-made. It was recommended by the local electrician.

Does that automatically mean you don’t know anyone who handles everything from start to finish, or that such a service simply doesn’t exist?

Take a look at Balu gates. They offer very good quality and can realize almost any design you have in mind.
For example, double-sided cladding and so on.

Yes, of course, that is only the drive system. I am not familiar with gates and drive systems coming from the same source, meaning genuine in-house productions. In most cases, either the gate or the drive system is sourced externally. For a custom gate, a metalworker (such as a fabricator) will likely be the right contact person, who may also have a preferred supplier for the drive system.
