Hello everyone,

I am planning to control my external venetian blinds using Homematic.

For the actuator, I would use the HmIp-FBL.

For the switch, either the Homematic wireless wall switch with display or the HmIP-WRC6.

Can I fully control the blinds (up, down, and tilt of the slats) with the mentioned switches?

And can I also fully control the blinds by voice via Alexa, including adjusting the slat tilt?

By the way, I have the CCU2 and the ECHO.

Thank you very much for your help.

I would really appreciate your information and support.

Good luck

"And can I control the external blinds fully by voice through Alexa, including the tilt of the slats?" The question already shows that you need to familiarize yourself with the basics first. Have fun... everything is possible. Sometimes indirectly.

What basics?
I already control quite a few things via Alexa, including my roller shutters.
However, I am currently not sure to what extent it is possible to control the venetian blinds through Alexa.
If you have more attached ... feel free to explain in more detail.
Otherwise, I’m just hoping for more productive contributions.

I control my external venetian blinds with Homematic IP.
For this, I use the Homematic IP shutter actuators designed for branded switches. This allows full control of everything, but I usually operate it via smartphone or it runs automatically.
Alexa works fine, although the commands sound somewhat "computerized."

Alexa is not a problem; only the commands are somewhat "computerized."

Hello Lumpi_LE,

thank you very much for your reply.

Does this mean that the slat tilt angle can also be adjusted via Alexa?
Or does Alexa only control the blinds going up and down?
Do I need any additional software for this?
Or is the standard CCU2 controller sufficient?
Because I understand that Homematic IP components can also be integrated into the CCU2.

Also, what are the voice commands you use to control the external venetian blinds with Alexa? (since you mentioned they are somewhat "computerized")

Thanks a lot.

Good luck,
Oliver

Oh, I see... Alexa doesn’t work with the CCU2, only with the Access Point IP. At least, that was the case six months ago.

Control is done using percentage values, also as of six months ago. Maybe this has improved since then, I would need to research it, but I haven’t had time in the past few months.
