Hello, my wife and I are currently planning our house. The price per square meter is amazing, but heating and other aspects are problematic.
The price per m2 (square meter) is 21€ (about $23).
There are three options:
Bungalow without a basement
Bungalow with a basement
Two-story house with a basement
Everything depends on the heating system. The options are:
Pellets
Firewood logs
Wood chips
Heat pump with a ground collector
Oil heating
Gas and district heating are not available.
Since I don’t own a forest and I’m not getting younger, I would avoid the firewood log heating.
Wood chip heating is extremely expensive (the boiler alone costs more than 20,000€ (about $22,000)).
So the remaining options are pellets and a heat pump.
For a heat pump, I would need underfloor heating. Would that be enough to heat the entire house?
For pellets, I would need a basement for storage.
Any suggestions or ideas?

No heat pumps alone are ever enough to heat a house... you will always need a stove as well.
For pellets, you urgently need two basements—or a two-story basement for an especially long conveyor belt.
So your only option left is heating via the stovetop 😀
Sorry for the introduction, but this all seems very confusing.
What do you want? You want to build a house... in an area where the land costs 21 € per square meter (2.0 USD per square foot)?
Okay, I understand that. What is your budget, and what are your needs or requirements for the house? You should first clarify the basic conditions and then at some point in the planning process consider the heating system... after all, you want your house to bring you joy and not your heating system.

Uhh... I’m confused!
For pellets, you don’t need a basement, just a small storage area of a few square meters (@BeHalElJa, that was probably just a joke in your introduction???)
What does the plot offer? What is the floor area ratio? If it’s enough (for how many people?), I would always plan just one level!
Does the zoning plan require otherwise?

I’m afraid you scared off the original poster with your jokes.
But on the topic: We decided on a ground source heat pump and would choose it again anytime. We heat 176m² (1894 sq ft) with about 800–900 euros per year. That’s reasonable and a very dust-free and clean solution.
