Hello everyone,
We have a timer switch for the heating circulation pump, see the picture.
But no matter how I set it, the circulation never works as it should. I just don’t understand it!
There are three modes you can set: permanently on, permanently off, or according to the schedule (middle setting).
I set it so that, for example, it should circulate tomorrow between around 6 and 9:00 AM. But it doesn’t. Of course, I also set the current time correctly according to the small arrow. I’ve tried everything.
What am I doing wrong?
Our heating system also has an option to control the circulation, see the other photo.
According to the heating installer, this won’t work if the manual timer is activated.

It really never works as I set it—for example, at 6:30 AM, freezing cold water for 1 minute.

FRUSTRATION!
Do you have any idea what this could be? Thanks a lot

If you manually turn on the pump, you should be able to hear or feel if it’s running.
What are you waiting for?

I basically notice that it’s not running. I set the timer dial, and when I check again hours later, the dial is still at the starting point. It doesn’t turn at all, even though it’s supposed to rotate when running. I’ll wait a little longer now and then get back in touch with the heating technician.

But the pump also has a simple on/off mode.
If you place your hand on it and switch it on, you should be able to feel or hear the pump running independently of any controls.
Of course, this only works if there is power supplied from the heating control system in the first place.

Then the timer obviously isn’t working 😀
As @apokolok suggested, just try turning it on to see if it even runs.
Is it getting any power at all?

I’m not sure, since the Christmas lights were a while ago, but a timer usually makes a quiet clicking noise when it runs, right?

Where does the power for the timer switch come from? I wouldn’t be surprised if the power for the timer switch comes from the heat pump, but it is deactivated in the menu.

The power definitely comes from the heat pump. I need to check it again right away, but I’m on the go.
