ystgahrt-14 Jan 2014 17:32Hello @ all,
I have purchased an apartment in Biel that includes a built-in (concealed) box with a shut-off valve and probably a built-in water meter.
So far, no plumber has been able to tell me which manufacturer might produce a meter that fits. The installation date is likely from the 1990s.
It is not a currently common manufacturer.
The shut-off valve is located at the lower part, and I removed the cartridge through the upper opening.
As far as I can see, the thread diameter is 45mm (1.77 inches) and it is a fine thread.
Thank you very much.

Nicole1981-130 Jan 2015 12:02Hi,
If no one is familiar with this, then just remove it and replace it with a new water meter. I believe there is no way around that.

Kurt1985-16 Feb 2015 16:09That will be outdated, and the younger plumbers probably won’t be familiar with it anymore. At most, you can consult an experienced journeyman plumber, if one is available.
Simply remove and replace it; that is the best solution.

Ricardo-115 Aug 2015 09:28Or contact the water utility company. They have archives with their old materials. Maybe they have this water meter or something similar stored in their archive.

Serena1990-116 Nov 2015 15:13He bought the apartment, so he is responsible for arranging the replacement. I don’t think anyone is familiar with that part. I wouldn’t guess either; I would just have the replacement done.
