Hello everyone,

I am planning to set up the following TV wall from the Besta series in the living room:

The power outlet will be located inside the base cabinet in the compartment for the Denon AVR.

I am not quite sure how to manage the cable routing from the lower cabinets to the panel. The Besta countertop glass panel is placed on the lower cabinets, which I do not want to give up. How is the panel then fixed? It cannot be attached to the base cabinet but must be mounted only to the wall (essentially standing on top of the base cabinet).

Do I need to install the base cabinets a few centimeters away from the wall so that I can access the panel through the back panel (which will be omitted in the area of the AVR for ventilation), or is there another option?

Can the cables for the Inreda cabinet lighting simply run behind the wall cabinets and then enter the panel from above?

Furthermore, I am wondering if the drawers behind the doors are feasible this way. The Besta planner allows it, but you never know.

Thank you very much and best regards
Carsten

Hello,
regarding the drawer, it says:
“Important information
The drawer cannot be used behind hinged doors.
Suitable for use behind sliding doors.”
I think with hinged doors it would both catch on the edge of the door and, according to your design, where the drawer is located there is a hinge. I will probably try soon to install a deep Rationell drawer and attach the front panel to it.
At the bottom cabinets, you only have about 2 cm (1 inch) of space for plugs and cables inside the cabinet without a back panel. So you need a correspondingly large gap to the wall. It is all the more unfortunate that the 49 cm (19 inches) deep benches are being discontinued from the range.
This basically makes the question of how the cables reach the panel obsolete. Without a gap, the alternative would be to cut a hole in the cabinet where the panel’s cable entry points are located (at the bottom on the sides). (In case it is not yet clear: The panel is fixed to the wall in the upper area with two brackets and screwed onto the cabinet at the bottom.)
