ᐅ Should I buy electrical supplies now?

Hello,
I started working at a large "building services company" last week.
I am currently organizing and tidying up the warehouse.
There are materials in the warehouse that are no longer part of the product range.
I can purchase these at a low cost, and I can also buy additional items I need at a good price.

Since I do not know how long I will stay with this company, I have the question:
Does it make sense to buy these now?
I would use a materials list from one of our average houses and order according to that.
I was thinking of:
distribution box, cables, control switch materials, sockets, outdoor spotlights, outdoor sockets, doorbell system, cable ducts...

I am buying the plot of land this year. Construction will start in Q1 2022.
The house will not be built by a construction company. My uncle will manage the construction with a few skilled friends—you know how it is in a village.

I wouldn’t just buy sockets without deciding first, as they come in different versions (for example, cream white or “true” white), and the light switches are usually chosen from the same series.
You probably don’t know yet how happy your electrician would be to install third-party parts—maybe they won’t do it at all.

Best regards

Hello,

that’s probably where the problem lies.
You need a certified electrician who is willing to accept that.
I have drilled and installed hundreds of empty conduit boxes, and mounted large numbers of outlets and switches. Chased 4,500 meters (14,764 feet) of slots in walls.
My electrician mostly only installed and connected the main distribution board. This saved me a lot of money, easily running into the tens of thousands.

4500m (2.8 miles) of chases??? In a single-family house?

I think he means 4500m (2.8 miles) of wiring installed.

Exactly.

The original poster mentioned knowing many tradespeople; maybe there’s an electrician among them who can install all that equipment!

Hello, thank you very much for the numerous posts.
I am currently on my phone and unfortunately cannot easily reply to specific posts.

“The only concern is that not every electrician installs the material.”
I think one of my colleagues at work will do that for me^^

Thank you very much, sometimes you just need a little help
