Hello everyone.
This Saturday, we will be selecting the finishes for our bathrooms.
We have already decided how to equip our guest bathroom.
Only the main bathroom still needs some optimization, I think.
I have attached the floor plan for you.
Do you have any ideas?
It is an urban villa, so there are no sloped ceilings on the upper floor.
I would really appreciate any suggestions.

It’s doable, but the shower is quite tight or narrow when you look at the dimensions from your planner. For such a small space, I find a solid wall without glass just too oppressive. I wouldn’t do that.I will ask the general contractor later this week if we can still move the windows. Then the room has potential for more, right?

You should definitely try lying down in the bathtub before you commit. If the measurements and the angle of the backrest don’t suit you, it will never get used, so I’d save both the money and the space. We will try lying down, for sure! 🙂

Why? That gives you even less space and the water will splash further. If the exterior wall doesn’t allow mounting the shower there, you could build a small partition wall.Well, it actually gives you more elbow room. You don’t really need much space in front. It’s more on the side we find it tight. That’s why the idea is to put the shower on the "long" side...
But you do realize that the showerhead sticks out from the wall and essentially "pushes" you away from it, meaning toward the opposite wall?
In our apartment, the bathtub was about 75cm (30 inches) wide, and whenever I showered with the classic curtain, I always managed not to hit my elbows.

j.bautsch19 Mar 2019 10:56Our bathtub measures 75 by 180 centimeters (30 by 71 inches) and isn’t even long enough for me (1.80 meters / 5 ft 11 in); my husband can’t lie down comfortably in it at all (1.95 meters / 6 ft 5 in). However, the size is great for showering (with a roll-up curtain). Towels hang at one “head” end (where they never get wet), and the showerhead is mounted on the long wall to the right (not on the short wall). The whole setup is definitely wide enough 😉

As for whether and how much water would get on the floor, I’m not sure 😉 after all, it is a bathtub
