Hello,
we want to water our small lawn (about 220m2 (2,370 sq ft)) automatically in the future. From my basic research, it seems we would need a timer and an irrigation controller. We can divide the lawn area well into three large rectangles. Currently, we have 3 rectangular sprinklers from Gardena, 3 connection sockets, plus all necessary connectors and hoses.
Problem: We only have one suitable outdoor water tap (10-liter (2.6 gallons) bucket test: 23 seconds, approx. 1500 liters/hour (400 gallons/hour)).

For this reason, so far we have been connecting a 4-way splitter to the outdoor water tap, then attaching a hose to each of the three outlets with a rectangular sprinkler. Due to the limited water flow, we have to manually activate each splitter line (each rectangular sprinkler) one after another, since likely only one sprinkler can operate alone with the available water.

Is there an easier way to do this with an irrigation controller or something similar?

Or does anyone have a clever idea? Watering with a garden hose for 1 hour in summer does not seem ideal. A rainwater tank or well are not options. We do have a second water tap, but it is already 10m (33 feet) away from the lawn.

I appreciate any tips and advice!

Take a look at the 6-way manifold from Gardena. With an irrigation controller, you can do exactly that.

Your flow rate is much lower because there is no back pressure during the bucket test.

Sprinklers are probably already installed. Gardena is not necessarily the best option here (not even in terms of price-performance ratio).

As Tarnari already mentioned, an irrigation controller would be the right solution. This way, the sprinklers/zones operate one after the other.

I also think that in your case, a simple solution like the 6-way manifold with an integrated timer would be the right choice.
