Hello,
our roofer installed the transition between the dormer and the roof tiles yesterday. Honestly, it looks quite poor and doesn’t match the rest of the house at all. In the photo, it still looks somewhat harmless, but in reality it’s really overwhelming. If you have dormer windows: how was this handled in your case? We are currently looking for an alternative solution, but so far, while driving through new residential areas, I haven’t seen anything "nicer"...

I think you’ve gotten caught up in a minor detail.
We also had some things that we thought would bother us a lot, but after a while, you don’t even notice them anymore.
We had the same issue with our zinc roofing valley. Since we’ve been living here, I haven’t noticed it at all.

You hardly see most of it yourself afterwards, even though you spent days worrying about it.

Just things like the roofing or whether a facing brick is DF (dry pressed) or NF (hand molded).

I’m at Sebastian’s place... the only things you still notice are the interior doors when you walk into them. Even visitors have never commented on the windows, the roof, or the professionally made gutter – it’s always just the interior doors or my wife’s decorations.

the aluminum strip, the protruding screws, the rather wide black adhesive tape... it can’t be that no one has come up with something "nicer" yet?

Take a look at boats and ships worth several million: every rivet and connection is crafted with care.
Or examine in detail the beautiful houses you admire during your summer vacations...

Yes, you are fixating on a minor detail that is actually not very important, other than the fact that it needs to work properly—that is, to seal effectively.
