ᐅ Dormer connection – alternatives?

Hello,
our roofer installed the transition between the dormer and the roof tiles yesterday. Honestly, it looks quite poor and doesn’t match the rest of the house at all. In the photo, it still looks somewhat harmless, but in reality it’s really overwhelming. If you have dormer windows: how was this handled in your case? We are currently looking for an alternative solution, but so far, while driving through new residential areas, I haven’t seen anything "nicer"...
