ᐅ What size should interior doors be? 90 cm or 100 cm width / 211 cm height?

blaupumaHello, our house planning is steadily progressing, and now I am deciding on the dimensions of the interior doors.
I am torn between 90 or 100 cm (35 or 39 inches) width / 211 cm (83 inches) height for the interior doors.
We have a ceiling height of 265 cm (104 inches).
The extra cost for the wider doors is minimal. I actually see only advantages with the wider doors, except that sometimes they can look like hospital doors :-(
The country-style design changes that only slightly.
Has anyone chosen this and regretted it?
Thanks

We decided on 90cm (35 inches) because it would have been difficult space-wise with some of the other doors. So far, I haven’t missed it.
It really depends on what you want to achieve. 1m (39 inches) wide doors only make real sense to me if the rest of the space is also sufficiently large. A big door that allows easy wheelchair or walker access is of little use if you cannot turn around in a 2m² (22 sq ft) bathroom, for example.
With a room height of 2.50m (8 ft 2 in), we also chose a door height of 211cm (83 inches). If I were you, I would consider whether taller doors would look better. However, price will probably play a role here. If I understood correctly back then, many manufacturers consider 211cm (83 inches) the limit for standard sizes, and anything above that often becomes disproportionately more expensive.

Sondelgeher1213 Apr 2018 11:23Does anyone know how wide a door should be to allow passage with a wheelchair or similar?
So, the 1-meter (3 ft 3 in) wide door?
Do you have a photo?
In my 80 square meter (860 square feet) apartment, I also have 1-meter (3 ft 3 in) wide doors.
They seem a bit too large. In a bigger house, they might look better.
Please, no comments about the paint,
that was a quick job and no professionals were involved (me).
