Nanafalke5 Jun 2015 14:39Hey,
I am looking for a mounting plate or ground anchor for a side awning. Since my terrace is 11.30 meters long (37 feet), I would need to install several side awnings, but I only have two walls. Is there a way to fully anchor a side awning to the ground? Alternatively, is there a side awning approximately 12 meters long (39 feet)?
I hope someone can help me.
Best regards

A 12 meter (39 feet) sail with temporary fastening probably won’t work. Why does the entire 12 meter (39 feet) side need to be protected? Awnings are typically used to cover a small seating area. For these common parts, I would use a 50x50x5 cm (20x20x2 inch) concrete slab... but I’m not sure if that will hold. Otherwise, I recommend a green privacy and windscreen.

Nanafalke5 Jun 2015 17:46Hello,
the entire area should be covered, as unfortunately we have very curious neighbors. I would like to use this awning: """"""""""Link removed by moderation, a side awning should be familiar to home builders"""""""""" How are the concrete slabs meant in this context?
Best regards

I think I’m a bit confused right now. Is the mounting plate for the side awning or for the privacy screen?

Normally, one side is attached to the wall, and the other to a support post. There is also the option to fit both sides into a single support post; this additional post just needs to be ordered separately as an individual part (most suppliers usually offer this as a standard option).
However, it must be properly anchored in the ground.
