DaLinuxHello everyone,
My architect was not hired to handle quotes for experts like geologists, energy consultants, etc. We contact and commission these specialists ourselves. Now my architect is asking me for the quotes, fees, and costs of these assessments.
Is it the architect’s responsibility to take care of a comprehensive cost overview, including additional construction-related expenses?
So far, I have assumed that I am responsible for this, which has been the case up to now. Or is it possible/necessary to have the architect manage this?
Thank you for your help!

In our cost breakdown and fee calculation, it only mentioned KG 300+400, but that’s all they actually completed.

Is it the architect’s responsibility to manage a comprehensive cost overview (including additional construction-related expenses)? The scope of your architect’s services repeatedly includes cost control (phases 2 and 3) of the construction project; this also involves accounting for expected additional construction-related costs. Therefore, it is reasonable and logical that he asks you about the costs (for services that you hire) directly.
