Hello everyone,

we’ve bought a house and want to improve the basement a bit. Specifically, we want to paint the walls, but there are three different materials involved: concrete, stone, and drywall (as far as I can tell as a non-expert).
What would be the best way to do this? Ideally, I’d prefer not to have to use three different paints... I just want to get a white finish, it doesn’t have to be perfect.
Do I need any primers?

I’ve attached some photos.

Light tiled wall with vertical water stains and discoloration.

Wall with several vertical filler strips; wardrobe on the left, tiles on the right.

Small white horizontal window in raw concrete basement wall.

Thanks in advance!

Best regards, mman

You don’t have to. Common paints, such as emulsion paints, are suitable for many surfaces.

Yes, even the common ones.
