ᐅ Is a detached garage more cost-effective?

Hello,
I am just starting to plan my house build, and the garage is already on my mind.
I would like to have a garage with direct access to the house.
For this, the garage needs to be attached to the house, and it is clear that sealing between the house and garage will be more expensive than if the garage stands separately.
A passage between the house and garage would also be possible in that case.
What are your experiences with this?
Thanks,
Tom

Thank you. However, I’m having trouble fully understanding the situation... 😎

What exactly is unclear? Below is the house, shown in the picture still under construction, now finished. I have labeled the exit door from the utility room. To the right is the garage, with the driveway to the garage coming from the right side of the yard. There is a path between the garage and the house. On the far right is the driveway entrance to the property.
You go from the utility room onto the yard, and from there have access to the garages and sheds. Also to the garden, which is located at the top of the plan. I drive through the right driveway onto the property to the left garage. From there I can quickly unload things from the car and bring them into the utility room. And there is short access to the sheds with a workbench, laundry area, back garden, motorcycles...

Floor plan of a garage: rectangular interior with tiled floor, dimension markings, and structural lines.

Although the garage is attached to the house, we chose not to have a direct entrance from the garage into the house, as it would have made our cloakroom too small. Our solution is a side entrance door, which, like the main entrance door, is located under the porch roof (which extends over the entire depth of the garage up to the green retaining wall). This way, you can quickly move between the garage and the house without getting wet and without having to deal with fire doors or similar. For us, this works very well.
