ᐅ User-friendly planning software for landscaping and gardens

Somewhat of an older topic, but does anyone currently have a recommendation for garden design software?
Since our property has slopes or embankments in all directions, it’s important that the software allows for realistically incorporating these height differences.
Ideally, it would also enable specifying the elevation above sea level at various reference points.

with some effort and detours, the only free options that quickly come to mind are SweetHome 3D, SketchUp, or the pCon Planner.
Otherwise, all 3D planners, such as Architect 3D or similar, should offer the necessary features without having to spend a lot of money.

Unfortunately, in all of these software solutions, the garden is just a flat surface. I’m very curious about how one could plan a sloped lot with them.

If I had more time, I would actually start with Blender.

Alright. At least for the affordable options. The 3D architect software from Immocado should be able to handle it. Unfortunately, I last used this type of planner back in 2018/2019. Professionally, I have access to different 3D software and am quite familiar with it. That’s why it was usually easy to implement the desired designs. Blender is powerful, but like most programs in this category, it’s the learning curve that can be challenging. You will definitely need some time for that. Try searching on YouTube for Immocado 3D architect; you might find something interesting. Otherwise, back to basics – despite having all the CAD options, I still start with pen and paper in the first phase 🙂

With "Realtime Landscaping Architect," I’ve gotten to the point where I can create "curved" gardens (with small steps and hills) using the "Terrain" feature.

For a slope along the house, I “repurpose” the "Wedge" function found under "Modeling":
I assign the "Wedge" a "grass" texture, which results in a straight but inclined lawn area (slope).

For SH3D, there is a terrain/landscape plugin—just try searching for it online.
