I would like to cover our terraces and carport with polygonal slabs in sandstone color, but made of concrete—not natural stone. Are you aware if such slabs exist, or is it just my lack of research skills that I haven’t found anything online despite searching for weeks? If such slabs do not exist, I would be interested to know why.

Thanks in advance to everyone. 🙂

In the USA, silicone mats with the desired pattern are placed on the concrete. I will send you a link.

Yes, terribly ugly, this uniformity that you actually don’t want with polygonal paving. Also, polygonal slabs are really on a different level than the stamped objects can achieve.
Funny thing: I also wanted sandstone-colored polygonal slabs. My grandparents had them, and I thought they looked really stylish and special as a child, even though the joints were cracked and ants were crawling out.
We asked a landscaping contractor. He told us that an expansion joint has to be planned every 2 meters (6.5 feet). We don’t know if that’s correct. We abandoned that idea.
I can’t tell you if those are available in concrete. Concrete was never an option for us.
But there are catalogs from Bauhaus, Obi, Hornbach, and more specialized building suppliers—you could just get those catalogs; they include everything you can order directly locally.

We are still far from working on the terrace or the path. But I wanted to experiment with it at least. Probably not until autumn.

So you order one of those templates and then ask the nice guys at the local community TV station if they could 3D print four more versions with different layouts. DIY and digital fabrication have definitely converged by now ;-)
