Hello,

we will be moving into our house soon. Finally.
As soon as possible, we need an entrance platform—about 10 cm (4 inches) high and made of anthracite-colored material (granite?).
Is a landscape gardener responsible for this, or a stonemason?

In our area, stonemasons are mainly responsible for gravestones, but they have also qualified, among other things, for installations in bathrooms and exterior stairs.

Somehow, I am wondering if they also know how to properly connect the platform to the house... would a landscape gardener generally have more experience with that?

What exactly is a landscape gardener?

Anyone who professionally works with granite understands the material requirements and the connection to the house wall.

A landscaper is a professional who specializes in garden and landscape construction.

We will also have our platform concreted and then covered with natural stone slabs. At least, that's the current plan. It's still some time away...

Hello everyone,

A 1x1 meter (3.3x3.3 feet) platform is already included in our plans. The platform will be securely cast together with the concrete slab. To avoid any thermal bridge, we are using a Schöck Isokorb. A clean solution.

Is a concrete slab really necessary as a base?
