I’m also very interested in the kitchen/dining area layout. I can’t imagine how it’s supposed to work with the two patio doors. It doesn’t seem feasible otherwise. Could you please draw in the planned furniture? The separation from the living area also seems more obstructive than helpful. A guest bathroom is essential with four people. The small windows in the living room are disappointing. It’s a shame the architect just copied your ideas. Didn’t they have any alternative suggestions? For now, windows measuring 1.50 meters (5 feet) wide and 1.20 meters (4 feet) high have been planned (due to external roller shutters).Henner77 schrieb:
Sounds interesting, may I see your floor plan? Here you go, for your reference. 😉North is to the right on our plan.

And where will the dining table go?Yes, that is still our problem too. Should it go next to the island (crosswise), or should we have a kitchen without an island and instead a large dining table?

The island (widthwise) or a kitchen without an island but with a large dining table instead Try drawing a dining table with the island included. Keep in mind the minimum distance from the wall to the edge of the table is 80 cm (31.5 inches). Since this will be your only terrace access, that’s still too little space.
