Hello everyone,
We bought a house in the Reutlingen district last year, and now it’s time to work on the garden and outdoor areas. They are currently in a completely unfinished state.
We had a landscape architect create a plan for us. Now we would like to know roughly how much this might cost (excluding the pool!). I understand it’s difficult to provide an exact figure, but a ballpark estimate like $50,000, $75,000, or $150,000 would be enough as a starting point.
Thank you very much!

Then just wait for the quote if you have set that as a budget.
As mentioned, material selection. Large deciduous tree of an expensive variety in a corten steel planter 5,000€ (about 5,500 USD). Young standard tree in flower bed edging 500€ (about 550 USD). These are rough estimates, but we can’t know where this will end up. The quote has already arrived; I find it expensive, so I wanted to ask the neutral experts here whether it is generally too high for the plan or reasonable, and how it might be possible to save around 10,000€ (about 11,000 USD).

You really can’t say without seeing the detailed quote. Not at all. In landscaping, there are so many details that range from luxury for fools, simply unnecessary, nice to have, to essential. Even the electrical planning alone is a whole ecosystem in itself. Underground tanks or freestanding or wall-mounted outlets? With stone cover in stainless steel frame? Or as a prefabricated element.
You need to sit down with your architect and request a detailed breakdown if you don’t want to disclose the individual items yourself.
A lounge couch can cost anywhere from 150 to 20,000. The granite edging around the trampoline can also be built either very elaborately or quickly and cheaply, and both can look nice.

You already have the offer?? Come on… You’re playing cat and mouse with us here. 😳
Deliver something first, then you get something back. Anything else is nonsense. That was not my intention; I was aiming for a neutral assessment.I do not want to disclose the details of the offer. I also believe it would be unfair to the landscaper, who has worked very professionally so far. The total is just under 120,000 (including Molina concrete pavers, cistern, trash enclosure, concrete blocks, turf, etc.).

I prefer not to disclose the details of the offer. I also think it would be unfair to the landscaper, who has worked very professionally so far. The total is just under 120,000 (including concrete pavers Molina, cistern, waste bin enclosure, concrete blocks, turf, etc.). I hope you can communicate better with the architect than here. The main issue is not the amounts, but the scope of work, product descriptions, and their quantities.
I would say, if someone is willing to spend 100,000 on a garden, there is no need to haggle over 10,000. Your contact for saving 10,000 is the architect.
