Hello everyone,
We bought a house in the Reutlingen district last year, and now it’s time to work on the garden and outdoor areas. They are currently in a completely unfinished state.
We had a landscape architect create a plan for us. Now we would like to know roughly how much this might cost (excluding the pool!). I understand it’s difficult to provide an exact figure, but a ballpark estimate like $50,000, $75,000, or $150,000 would be enough as a starting point.
Thank you very much!

I actually find those especially charming... coming from someone who’s not a morning person 🙂 However, you do need to consider the eastern neighboring buildings and make sure the garage wall doesn’t appear too bulky (adding greenery or similar, for example).I like the seating area as well, but the corner doesn’t necessarily have to be so thoroughly planned out (with fixed planters and probably fully mature planting).Myrna_Loy schrieb:
With a pool size of 6 x 3 meters (20 x 10 feet), it’s more like a paddling pool if you don’t install a swim jet system. I’d consider building a hot tub or jacuzzi instead. Adults get more use out of it all year round. Yes, we are uncertain about the pool. A swim jet system and heat pump are included in the budget, but we’re still undecided whether to have them at all.

Sorry to interrupt, may I ask if it’s possible to just have an outdoor area plan designed and created? And if so, how/where do you find such planners?
We have a very good paver/landscaper, but they don’t do visual planning..Yes, the landscape architect works independently. She created the plan based on our ideas (although she might have gone a bit overboard). I simply searched online and contacted a few, or compared their websites. She charges by the hour and creates and adjusts the plan as needed.face26 schrieb:
The plan looks nice. However, I wouldn’t be willing to pay the full price if there is a 50% cost overrun during planning. I would expect that correcting the plan to fit the budget should be free of charge. As already mentioned above by @Myrna_Loy, we need to see where we can make savings to get back closer to the budget.
