I also received two price changes yesterday, starting with gas:
an increase of 100%... so now it really is the local municipal utilities in the basic supply, which are around 7.xx cents.
What really surprised me was the electricity provider’s price change:
12% cheaper!?! They also pointed out explicitly that I have a special termination right even with price reductions... :-)
By the way, this is the first time I have the situation where heating with a heat pump would be cheaper. Until now, the ratio of gas to electricity price per kWh was always between 1:5 and 1:6. Now it’s about 1:3, so a heat pump with a seasonal coefficient of performance of 3.5 would actually be slightly cheaper. However, it would probably still take about 20 years to recover the roughly 10,000€ additional investment originally required... SCNR
