You come back from vacation and receive an email about a gas price increase.
A quick look: the consumption price has doubled, and the base price is 25% higher.
And you, who also have a gas heating system?
@Nordlys I know… but who else?

I’m included in this and switched to my electricity provider yesterday. I’m now in a normal price range, about 15% higher than before.
Could you say where you’re with now? I also need to switch for my son.
Hello,
I also received two price changes yesterday, starting with gas:
an increase of 100%... so now it really is the local municipal utilities in the basic supply, which are around 7.xx cents.
What really surprised me was the electricity provider’s price change:
12% cheaper!?! They also pointed out explicitly that I have a special termination right even with price reductions... :-)
By the way, this is the first time I have the situation where heating with a heat pump would be cheaper. Until now, the ratio of gas to electricity price per kWh was always between 1:5 and 1:6. Now it’s about 1:3, so a heat pump with a seasonal coefficient of performance of 3.5 would actually be slightly cheaper. However, it would probably still take about 20 years to recover the roughly 10,000€ additional investment originally required... SCNR
Best regards,
Andreas

And just for fun, I compared gas prices yesterday—10 cents per kWh.
Can you equate the amount of heat produced by a heat pump directly with kWh, or how is this calculated?

12% cheaper now!?!The renewable energy surcharge is also decreasing starting from early 2022. And, of course, this is often promoted to customers as a positive selling point.Similar topics
