Hello,
we have purchased a newly built semi-detached house with 150 sqm (1,615 sq ft).
I wanted to ask which furniture stores in NRW you would recommend for us.
We want to renew or buy new furniture for the entire interior.
Which furniture stores can you recommend?
The furniture should meet the following criteria:
- good quality, "high-end"
- aesthetically pleasing
- durable
- easy to assemble (no drilling, just screwing together)
- prices should be affordable for an average budget
So, nothing cheap like Poco or Roller, but also not extremely expensive.

Pwnage6199 Sep 2021 15:24We are looking for furniture that looks timeless and elegant,
for example white furniture with wood accents.
We have budgeted around 30,000 to 40,000 euros for the interior design.
We find it difficult to figure out which furniture manufacturers offer good quality at a reasonable price,
or where to even begin our search.
Price in relation to quality.
We don’t want to just go to a furniture store and end up buying overpriced junk that breaks after a few years.
I would estimate, since I’m not an expert, that I can’t easily tell the difference between good and bad quality,
because poor quality is often well hidden.
So far, I have mostly gone to inexpensive furniture stores and bought cheap furniture, knowing it was only temporary until we found a house.
Now that we have found our house, I want to focus on good quality but without paying excessively for the "brand" — just reasonable prices for the quality.

According to Statista, the gross profit margin in the furniture trade is an impressive 43%... ... and about 3.5% net profit margin remains from that 😉 (own analyses within our company)

or where we should even start our search. Then move away from focusing on the manufacturer question and simply start at a very good store, ask questions, and listen. With that budget, it is possible to buy a "flagship piece of furniture" or a design detail. Approach it fairly from the beginning and get advice. I have already suggested one option. We bought quite a bit there, but certainly not everything. That was clear from the start and totally unproblematic.

One furniture store that comes to mind is Sijben on the furniture mile in Roermond (like Knuffmann, it is also part of the Schaffrath Group), which offers a broad range beyond the basic standard.
