we would like to install wood-aluminum windows, but recently learned that these usually have blue stain protection applied on the inside.
Does anyone know if there are wood-aluminum windows without blue stain protection, and if so, where? What type of wood? Has anyone had experience with their durability?

hampshire29 Apr 2021 11:07We received a quote from Gaulhofer, and we were convinced by the quality of their windows. Our window installer, who is a fan of wood and wood-aluminum windows, clearly explained the issue of blue stain protection. Ultimately, we decided against this combination. We have a lot of wood both on the exterior and interior and did not want to add another wood species/color/texture to the mix. So, I do not have any experience to share with you.
