ᐅ Is the wall tile properly installed around the toilet flush?

Hello dear forum community,

I am about to carry out the final inspection of our new build and have recently visited the construction site.

I noticed something concerning the tiles in the bathroom, but I am a complete layperson. Overall, the work is well done, but in my untrained opinion, the solution for the toilet flush area is not ideal or has failed. Since I have no knowledge in this field, I would appreciate some feedback before I address this with the builder.

I have attached a photo. You can see that the tile(s) have been cut into small pieces. Is there a better way to solve this?

@borderpuschl: That’s what I initially thought when I saw the picture, especially since the left marking might still be visible on the tile underneath.

I’m not completely sure. It’s quite possible that it’s just a pencil mark.

So all the fuss was for nothing 🙂

Unfortunately, I do not have an earlier appointment than the final inspection.

If they cannot be erased (a white cleaning sponge also works), then don’t wait for an appointment and instead submit an official, formal defect notice with a deadline.
