ᐅ TV audio quality – how can I achieve good sound?

Hello!

Our fitness TV produces quite distorted sounds at high volume. I want to connect it to a speaker system, but I’m not sure what would be the best option to buy.

There are soundbars, Bluetooth speakers, or complete sound systems with amplifiers. The latter is definitely overkill. Ideally, I want to buy just one device, with a maximum budget of 250 euros.

Right now, I can only get audio from the TV (Samsung BJ2014) via optical audio output, correct?

Good luck

It depends on the intended use.
For fitness purposes, an affordable soundbar costing 100-200€ is sufficient.
For an intense gaming room, a better compact system (Teufel, Nubert, etc.) is recommended.
For a home theater experience, a soundbar costing 500-800€ or active speakers with good bass response are suitable.
I would never plan for casual use and be careful not to make it better than in the living room; otherwise, you might have to upgrade that space as well.

But maybe that’s a strategy to get a better sound system approved by the “management” in the living room.
“Honey, why does the sound here sound so much better? It has to be the same in the living room!”
“Yes, but then we need to go a bit bigger because that room is bigger too...”
“Sounds logical, then go ahead”
“Muahahahaha...!”

System 6 7.2.4 ...

The living room uses 5.1 Nubert speakers, which are good enough 🙂. I would also like to have the Nubert soundbar in the gym, but at 400 euros it’s really over the budget.

I will now try to connect the sound to an old TEAC amplifier using a 6-euro 3.5mm to RCA cable, so I would only have spent 6 euros 😀
