Hello,

are downdraft ventilation systems at the stove effective? There are systems that have an exhaust built in between the cooking zones. Who has experience with these? Advantages? Disadvantages? Recommendations?

Thank you.

We have had the Bora Professional 2.0 for over a year, and it works perfectly! The motor is mounted outside on the wall, and all our guests are amazed at how quiet our extractor is 🙂

There aren’t many alternatives if you want to have the stove on the kitchen island. A hood is always in sight and ruins the openness; if it is installed too high to avoid being intrusive, its efficiency drops significantly.

We plan to use the Miele because of the large cooking zones (for big pots). We’ll see; I have already heard good experiences from friends.

However, Miele is probably not the best choice in this case. There are systems that offer more induction surface area with the same overall dimensions, for example, Bora Basic surface induction.

What is the extraction rate in cubic meters per hour (m³/h)? A considerable amount of air must be extracted to encourage the hot water vapor to move downwards.
