In a residential development, we can either buy a corner lot or a lot in the middle of the same street. What are the pros and cons of a corner lot?
The lighting and slope are similar. Price per square meter (square foot) is the same.

A corner lot means more street frontage, higher snow removal costs, and later on, when expanding, higher local utility fees. It also makes it easier for passersby to look onto the property.

I would always go for a centered position. I find it cozier because you can close off the street-facing side.

Corner plot, with fewer neighbors and therefore more privacy. We were happy to accept the one-time utility connection fees.
A nice hedge for screening from passersby.

At a corner, you are twice as "exposed." Vehicles typically travel 50 meters (55 yards) rather than just 25 meters (27 yards). Snow removal duties are also doubled. This applies regardless of whether you have a hedge, fence, or nothing at all.

Centered!

Simply a nice hedge against passersby.

And then at some point, the question arises whether the hedge is actually not allowed to run at a right angle along the property line, but if a visibility triangle must be kept clear... ;-)
