Hello everyone, we are currently planning and considering options for our bathroom. We have space from wall to wall for a vanity unit that is 2.20 meters wide (7 feet 3 inches). Illuminated niches are planned in the side walls on the right and left.
We have been thinking about a white vanity cabinet with a total of six drawers (80-40-80). On top, a wooden countertop made by a carpenter with two vessel sinks, positioned so that there is still plenty of space in the middle of the countertop. We prefer vessel sinks from Alape. Instead of wall-mounted faucets, we want relatively tall faucets with levers on top, placed behind the sinks. A large mirror will cover the entire width, with recessed ceiling spotlights.
However, we have heard from many people that vessel sinks are quite impractical, everything gets wet all the time, and they are not that great overall. What are your experiences? What would you do with this 2.20-meter (7 feet 3 inches) space?
Thanks for your comments!

Wrong generation.
I use planes and knives myself, but I wouldn’t consider water retention—it only has disadvantages. Also, this isn’t so important that it would turn the sink into a gimmick. Moreover, retained water doesn’t necessarily make the basin unusable for a second user.
On the other hand, large basins are great for bathing infants.

May I quickly join the "bathroom topic" and ask a question about faucets?
Today was my first time intentionally shopping to furnish our bathroom. I also visited "Peter Jensen GmbH" and noticed some attractive products.
Now, I'm wondering what a faucet costing 600 EUR (approximately 640 USD), which looks 99% identical to one priced at 40 EUR (about 43 USD), actually offers.
Honestly, what justifies the higher price? It can't be the design. Are there significant differences in the internal components of these faucets?
Yes, I wanted to ask a salesperson, but since I didn’t have an appointment and a couple was being served the whole time, I decided not to.
So, I just want to know if a 600 EUR faucet is ANY different from a "regular" one?
Thanks. (I didn’t want to create a separate thread for this...)

Now I’m wondering what a faucet costing 600 EUR (about $650), which looks 99% identical to one priced at 40 EUR (about $43), actually has to offer? This is the "secret" behind the counterfeit product business: a brake disc priced at one-tenth of the original manufacturer’s cost only reveals the reason for the price difference under a microscope.
On the other hand, there are also cases where the price is genuinely higher without much difference...

...)The design will not be the same for the connoisseur and expert. There are differences that account for the €560, with different manufacturers involved.
Choose the cheaper one if you don’t see the difference!
