ᐅ Realistic Carport Costs? How Much Did Your Carport Cost?

Hello everyone,

After casually asking my architect about the costs for our planned carport, he estimated, based on volume calculations, that the carport would cost around €19,000.

The carport is planned to be about 6.25m x 8.5m (20.5ft x 27.9ft), including a storage room and a bicycle room—basically a classic double carport with two lockable sliding doors at the back for storing garden equipment.

Does anyone here have experience if this figure is accurate? My parents had a brick-faced double garage with a sectional door about 15 years ago (they got around +€5,000 for it), which might be comparable.

Maybe the architect had something like that in mind, which actually matches my ideas. See the picture

But there is definitely a big difference when it comes to the material.
I have seen many of the DIY store carports where the rafters were sagging.
But everyone can decide that for themselves.

We were probably lucky; nothing is sagging or shaking at our place.

Best regards,
Sabine

I’ll have to take a picture first.

I have received a quote for a steel double carport with a storage room, fully plastered... 6m x 9m (20ft x 30ft) with a parapet, trapezoidal roof, steel flat wall, condensation protection, including delivery and installation for €12,000.

What does it look like from the outside? Does it appear as solidly built because it is plastered? Maybe you have a picture? Thank you.

Our carport, measuring 8.40 x 3.56 meters (actually 8.80 meters), unfortunately had to be shortened by 40 cm (16 inches), thanks to the building use regulation.
With the storage room and construction, it cost 5,200.
Even with 6 meters (20 feet), we wouldn’t have reached 15,000 euros.
