ᐅ Did you have RC2 windows installed?

Hello,

we are currently looking into the windows for our planned house. The police recommend installing RC2-rated windows for security, but these seem to be quite expensive. Have you installed such windows, and what additional costs should one expect for a window or patio door? For example, if only the patio door is made with RC2 security, will the glass panes look different compared to the other windows? How did you handle this?

Best regards
Sabine

@sven.conzi

I already know how it should be done correctly; just read it in context...

Surcharge for what; for 53 EUR you only get a lockable handle.

We received that for free and they usually cost less than half that amount [emoji2]

It depends; you can probably find something for 25, but if you want a reasonable quality, 60 euros is nothing.

And the glazing is then P4A laminated glass?!

Yes, with laminated safety glass (VSG).
Without it, the additional cost would also be somewhat excessive in my opinion.

@Alex85

That doesn’t really answer the question; laminated safety glass can also be VSG 6!

Considering the additional cost, it’s unlikely to be RC2, so you should double-check that.
