Hello,
we are currently looking into the windows for our planned house. The police recommend installing RC2-rated windows for security, but these seem to be quite expensive. Have you installed such windows, and what additional costs should one expect for a window or patio door? For example, if only the patio door is made with RC2 security, will the glass panes look different compared to the other windows? How did you handle this?
Best regards
Sabine

The link is good.
Why didn’t you post it directly – it’s from a public/government source without any advertising. It doesn’t matter – in the iPad era, people just enter keywords anyway.
Hello,
we will also be installing the RC2N version, meaning only the increased number of mushroom head locks. Our general contractor charged quite a bit for it: about €140 (around $150) for a standard window sash and about €180 (around $195) for a floor-to-ceiling sash (i.e., patio door).
When I searched on various online retailers, the price difference for the same type of window was usually in the range of €40 to €80 (approximately $45 to $85). But that’s just the reality when you build with a general contractor...
Best regards,
Andreas
