I would appreciate some professional advice. I have a sink and a faucet, but I am unsure whether they are compatible.
The sink is without an overflow. According to the plumbing company, a faucet without a pop-up drain assembly must be used in this case.
My desired faucet (a Swedish subsidiary of Villeroy & Boch, called Gustavsberg) looks like this:

Does this combination fit together in terms of overflow/drain assembly?
Thank you very much in advance for any advice.

@Neige, what is the overflow connection? Does the above faucet have it?
(sorry, this is the first time I’m ordering a faucet)

An overflow connection is part of the drain fitting that helps the water in the basin—if water is accidentally left running—to drain away. Since you have a basin without an overflow, it was mentioned:
meaning one with a lever on the side, behind, or similar, and not one that includes a lift mechanism as part of the faucet, and
This way, the water can continuously drain. In other words, the drain valve in the basin either cannot or should not be closed.
