Good morning,

Our driveway is planned to be paved this year with concrete pavers from Berding Beton. However, I would like to protect the surface from fading and from lichen growth.
Do you have any experience with treatments that can be applied afterwards (e.g., from Lithofin)? The more environmentally friendly, the better.
We have already paved our stair landing, and despite it facing north and being covered, it has still become quite faded, etc.

A pressure washer is a good idea if you want to open the pores of concrete pavers. At first, it takes some time for the pavers to turn green, but the more often you use the pressure washer, the faster it goes and the more often you have to clean....

Yes, I know, everyone told me that beforehand... and also that you shouldn't use a pressure washer on tiles... yet this is done every day everywhere... and for heavy dirt, pressure washers are recommended again...

Our Berding pavers are colored through... and I used a rotary nozzle.

You have to decide for yourself whether to do it or not... as I said, my stones look good... and if they get dirty again, I'll come back with the lance again...

Of course, they will get clean with the pressure washer, that’s clear.

Our old paving was first scrubbed, but eventually cleaned with a pressure washer out of laziness. After about 10 years, we used the pressure washer at least twice a year, because dirt and grime would build up and stick more quickly.
If frequent pressure washing isn’t a bother for you, then everything is fine.

Quartz sand and then compact again with a small plate compactor, and it looks like new (:
