The title sounds funny – but it’s true (-:
I’m looking for a way to quickly warm up a room of about 18 sqm (194 sq ft) that is heated with underfloor heating / low-temperature heat pump.
I do relaxation yoga there 1-2 times a day. The room is usually rather cool at 20°C (68°F), but it’s too cold for me to lie on the floor. So far, I’ve been using a small fan heater, but it’s noisy and not a long-term solution.
I need something I can turn on quickly and possibly sit directly in front of while doing my exercises. At a hardware store, I found an infrared ceramic heater measuring 60 x 120 cm (24 x 47 inches) with 1,110 W.
What do you think about these? Are there better alternatives?
I’d rather not heat the room all day just to sit there once or twice for 10 minutes a day…

In our case, the heating is on in that room to keep the floor warm and therefore keep the person doing yoga warm.
Using just a space heater results in warm air but still a cold floor, which doesn’t work at all. Do you have an air-to-water heat pump and underfloor heating?
Do you keep the room at a higher temperature than the other rooms all the time?
Because the heating is on, of course, but it’s set to about 21°C (70°F) since it’s actually an office... But when relaxing on the floor, it still feels somewhat cold.
Yes, an air-to-water heat pump and underfloor heating,
room temperature 22°C (72°F), the floor feels warm, yoga mat about 1.5cm (0.6 inches) thick,
the rest we manage with clothing.
We participate online/live for 1-2 hours.
If you feel a cold draft under the door, try placing a rolled-up towel in front of it.
