I currently have a specific issue with the metal handles on my Ikea Metod kitchen fronts. These are matte black metal handles that have gradually become increasingly dirty over time, mainly due to fingerprints, grease, and dust. An addition: If you have grease or oily dirt, a mixture of water and some isopropyl alcohol works very well. It is important to wipe the handles with clear water afterwards and dry them thoroughly to avoid residues or damage.

I want to point out that you should not use pure isopropyl alcohol, but always dilute it with water (about 70:30 water to alcohol).
Also important: clean very carefully, avoid scrubbing hard, and do not apply too much liquid at once.
