A neighbor planned the same and had the water tested at an institute. The result showed the water is perfectly fine, just a bit clayey. However, it contains few bacteria. He has to clean the well once a year.

We also use well water, but not for drinking. We have installed a pump located right next to the well. We use this water for the toilet, washing machine, and irrigation systems.
