In our new build, water from the neighboring construction site repeatedly enters our basement. The adjacent house is still partially unfinished. After the basement was dried out again, drywall panels were installed. Due to ongoing rain, the water level in the basement is about 5 cm (2 inches) high again, and the drywall is slowly absorbing water. Is it possible to dry them out with construction dehumidifiers, or do they need to be removed?

2. How can water from the neighboring house get into your basement? The houses (I assume it’s a semi-detached or terraced house) are supposed to be separated from each other!

What exactly should I understand by "together and offset in height"?
