Hello everyone,

We bought a house last November.
It has an underground garage, but due to the slope, it cannot be used as such. According to the previous owner, there was never a car parked there. (Planning error)

I already checked with the building authority. I do not need a building permit / planning permission for this.

The masonry work will be done by a professional.

Can you still explain to me in advance how this can be done?
For example, what type of blocks or bricks should be used? Does it need to be anchored to the existing wall? (For stability)

Later, the wall will be painted black and backfilled. Maybe a car will even be able to park on it then.

Thank you very much in advance.

When filling in the ramp, you should definitely not build a double-wythe masonry wall with an air gap, as the earth pressure could deform the 11.5 cm (4.5 inch) wall.
I would follow the existing wall for reference, but use at least a 30 cm (12 inch) masonry wall. It is important to me that there is no offset on the inside face of the wall. Since it will be backfilled, an offset to the outside is probably not a big issue.

I also thought that I would form and pour concrete. Anchoring it to the existing masonry is definitely necessary.
On the outside, I would create a 5 cm (2 inch) wide fillet.

If masonry is preferred, calcium silicate blocks are probably the right choice.

Did I say something wrong?
