Has anyone had experience with Elastolith cladding and their natural stone imitations from Stone Design? Is it better to wallpaper first or to stick them directly onto the plaster? On Elastolith’s website, it says:
It is strongly recommended to prime the surface before applying the cladding.Does this refer to a deep primer?

I use the Inicio for my clients.
You can simply screw it on, and the joints between the panels as well as the screws become invisible thanks to the filler compound.

Tile Backsplash
Hello 6Richtige,
Are the panels also suitable as a tile backsplash in the kitchen area?

6Richtige26 May 2010 17:30Probably not, due to the building depth there are issues with the range hood, and it seems grease splatters cannot be cleaned off.
Alternative
...a pity, it would have been an attractive alternative to natural stone or tiles. Is the surface texture of these panels comparable to natural stone, or can you immediately tell that it is an "artificially" manufactured product?
