Hello,
I am still in the planning phase for building a house.
My wife would like a vinyl floor in the bathroom, including in the walk-in shower.
Does anyone have experience with this or know if and how it could be done?
From what I have found, it doesn’t seem like such a bad idea.
However, I have some doubts about the whole thing.
Thanks in advance for your help.

@nordanney I think I once read somewhere in the past that you can be contacted for an affordable parquet source, is that right? Unfortunately, I’m not able to send private messages yet.

It’s a retailer for Haro parquet, located practically next to the factory, selling clearance items.Precisely because of accidents caused by our beloved pets, I reject laminate flooring. Over time, the seams unfortunately tend to open up. Also, laminate shows wear more quickly when frequently cleaned with a damp mop, even if you are careful to mop rather dry.
Real wood should actually be more durable in this regard. Especially since the floor is also in the kitchen, where liquids can sometimes spill onto it.
From what I’ve heard, it mostly comes down to personal preference whether you choose oiled parquet or one with a lacquer finish.
On Saturday, my wife and I are going to the floor specialist store to take a closer look at parquet floors.

Bierwächter17 Jul 2025 22:25Ok... now my wife is against it because she doesn't feel confident about gluing the parquet and doesn't want to risk damaging such an expensive floor. I still need to convince her a bit more.

That’s roughly the current price for the long plank as well… (it wasn’t much different back then).
I have ordered four times in total and have also recommended it to neighbors.
