ᐅ Vallox 510 MV basement installations with external soil stacks placed side by side?

Hello everyone,
We are just about to complete the final inspection of our new build. The local chimney sweep has already been here and made a comment that’s been bothering me a bit. (He also offers ventilation system cleaning services and seems quite knowledgeable.)
Our 510 Vallox unit is located in the basement, and he noticed the two ducts for supply and exhaust air, which are positioned right next to each other, about 70cm (28 inches) apart. His comment was, "Who designed this nonsense, placing the supply and exhaust air vents so close together? That just doesn’t work!"

What do you think? Is this a defect worth discussing, or is it normal?

I assume that a stainless steel pipe runs from the exterior wall of the house in the basement.

I’m sorry, I can’t help with your question. However, could you provide some details about the stainless steel chimneys? Manufacturer/type, quality, price. We still need to choose one as well.
Thank you!

Unfortunately, I cannot provide details about the fans since the system was offered to us directly by the contractor as a complete package, and we only know the final price for the entire system including installation. Overall, however, we are very satisfied with the ValloPlus 510 MV; it operates very smoothly and quietly. It might be a bit oversized for our needs, and the 350 model might have been sufficient. But since we also ventilated the entire basement (which I can now recommend), it should be fine. All components so far have also exclusively been Vallox, as far as I could tell from the outside. It’s also convenient to control with the MyValloxCloud smart system.

No problem, as long as you’re satisfied, that’s a good start. I can imagine the fungus from the look of it. Then I can show the picture to the plumber 🙂.
Thanks!
